A neighbour bet places straight-up chips on a chosen centre number and on the numbers sitting immediately adjacent to it on the physical wheel. Coverage extends outward from that centre point in both directions along the wheel’s circumference, creating a compact arc of active pockets. What determines which numbers are included?

Wheel adjacency is defined by physical position on the spinning wheel, not by numerical sequence or grid layout. The sequence runs in a pattern such that consecutive numbers on the wheel are rarely consecutive in value. Many providers allow the neighbour radius to be adjusted. Extending from two neighbours per side to three produces a seven-number arc and requires seven chips. Extending to four per side produces nine numbers and nine chips. Each step outward adds two more numbers and two more chips to the placement.

  • Net return scales with chip count. On a five-chip bet where one number hits, the return is 35 minus four losing chips, a gain of 31 units. On a seven-chip bet, the return is 35 minus six losing chips, a gain of 29 units. On a nine-chip bet, the return is 35 minus eight losing chips, a gain of 27 units. Wider arcs win more frequently but return fewer net units per win because more chips are lost alongside the single winning chip.
  • Win probability rises proportionally with arc width. A five-number arc wins approximately 13.51 per cent of spins. A seven-number arc wins approximately 18.92 per cent. A nine-number arc wins approximately 24.32 per cent. House edge per chip remains 2.70 per cent regardless of arc size, because every chip is a straight-up position on a 37-pocket single-zero wheel.

Racetrack placement

On tables with a racetrack layout, the oval display shows all 37 numbers in their wheel sequence order. Clicking any number on the racetrack highlights the selected number and its neighbours simultaneously, with the highlight extending across the active radius. Chips are placed automatically on all highlighted positions without the player needing to locate each number individually on the main grid.

Adjusting the radius control before clicking changes how many positions are highlighted. Setting the radius to three before clicking a centre number places seven chips automatically. Setting it to one places three chips. It is easy to adjust the radius and position arcs on the racetrack: set the radius, click centre.

Place a neighbour bet without a racetrack by knowing the physical wheel sequence in advance. Identifying four specific numbers and recalling their wheel positions for a five-number bet requires five grid clicks. Availability of racetracks eliminates that preparation step completely and simplifies multi-click placement. The net payout, probability, and house edge are the same whether betting through the racetrack or manually.
